PHIL SALAZAR AND THE KIN FOLK FOR FALL FEST
Phil Salazar and the Kin Folk is a group of friends who have been recording and performing together for over thirty years. They are known, and loved, for having successfully bridged traditional and contemporary styles of music, including but surely not limited to bluegrass, swing, country, jazz, Irish, pop and rock genres. Fiddle extraordinaire and fearless leader, Phil Salazar is a teaching, touring and studio artist who has performed and recorded with Bob Weir, Kenny Loggins, Jonathan McEuen, and Kate Wolf just to name a few. With this collaboration, Phil Salazar attracts “A” list talent including Tom Corbett (mandolin/guitar), and Bill Knopf (banjo), Rick Borella (bass), Bill Flores (dobro/almost anything with strings), and Charl Ann Gastineau (fiddle). Several of these fine folks have played with Phil on many a Strawberry stage, over many years times, including a past incarnation with the Acousticats in 1995, so we’re especially happy for Phil Salazar and the Kin Folk to make their returning debut to the Main Stage at the Fall 2018 Festival.

TODD SNIDER TO PLAY SPRING STRAWBERRY
Todd Snider started making up songs in 1986. He made an album in 1994 and he also started a tour the same year, that in a way, is still going. Snider was discovered in Memphis, Tennessee by a longtime acquaintance of John Prine, which led to an opening act for the folk legend. Since that time, he has earned a wealth of honors and accolades for his numerous original recordings. As a storyteller and a songwriter, he is well loved for his incredibly humorous wit, easily winning the hearts of his audience with a unique blend of charisma and humility. You might say that he is an alternative, Americana, folk rock poet. Or you could just say he is Todd Snider, a genre unto himself. Either way, say you’ll be there for his return to Strawberry, for the first time since the Spring 1999 Festival.

HANNAH JANE KILE
Hannah Jane Kile is a beautiful young singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with talent well beyond her years. Having completed two full-length albums of original work by the age of 22, Kile is currently working on two new albums to be released early this summer. At 18, she played as a tweener on Strawberry’s Spring 2013 Main Stage, which happened to be the last day of the last festival at Camp Mather, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SExmb-AnRU. Two years later she was back to kick off the Fall 2015 Festival, for the very first Strawberry performance at Westside. She’s been working hard to develop her tremendous talent as a player, vocalist and composer and her efforts have earned her favored status as opener for national acts which include Grammy winning Patty Griffin, Ingrid Michelson and blues legend Carolyn Wonderland. An absolute pleasure, both on and off stage, this gifted songbird is taking flight and we are so pleased to welcome her back for a landing at Strawberry Music Festival – Spring 2018.
