THE STRAWBERRY CALENDAR RETURNS AGAIN!

We had so much fun resurrecting the Strawberry calendar last year, we simply had to bring it back again!

There is a significant twist! We have returned to our traditional 12-month May 2025–April 2026 format for all you procrastinators out there.

Featuring photos from the Spring 2024 festival, the calendar will be available to purchase for $25 each, shipping and sales tax included. Starting on Tuesday, January 7th, the calendar will be available to purchase here.

We’d like to give a big thank you to our talented photographers: Dave Bonnot, Robin Frenette, Tim Konrad, Adam Metterville, Kate Skogen, Evan Thompson, and Tim Van Raam. And a special thanks to Dave Bonnot for his creative eye and design work on the calendar!

We hope you enjoy this snapshot of Strawberry!

STRAWBERRY GIVES THANKS

LINEUP ANNOUNCEMENT CORRECTION

We come to you, hat in hand, with a very important correction to our lineup announcement. We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to The Banana Slugs and our gratitude to Katie Hoschouer, née Parsons, who pointed out our unfortunate error.

The Banana Slug String Band has not only performed on the Main Stage, they have performed THREE TIMES on the Main Stage! These truly epic appearances include:

🍌 A full set in Spring 1988

🐌 A 3-song “tweener” in Fall 2001

🍓 A full set in Fall 2002

Katie, who also provided the photo documentation, explained that she knows for a fact that the Banana Slugs have played the Main Stage before because she was invited on stage to play a lobster claw harmonica as “Blind Lemon Pledge” with her fellow BSSB Groupies, her sister Lizz and childhood best friend Catherine (AKA “The Slime Trax”) in 1988. They even had a theme song they would walk around camp singing!

So there you have it. We can’t wait to have the Banana Slug String Band on the Main Stage AGAIN to celebrate their 40th anniversary as a band!

FALL STRAWBERRY MUSIC FESTIVAL TO RETURN IN 2025!

It is with great pleasure that we announce the return of the Fall Strawberry Music Festival in 2025! One Strawberry Music Festival a year is not enough. We hope you are as excited as we are to be together twice next year!

Next year’s fall festival will take place October 17th–20th at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. The format for next year’s fall festival will be almost exactly the same as in the spring, with one big exception—the events will start one day later. We hope this change makes it easier for all Strawberrians to attend.

While this re-inaugural fall event will only last four days total, with early entry on Thursday, October 16th, and Main Stage entertainment from Friday through Sunday, there will still be plenty of time for music to be played, memories to be made, and for The Strawberry Way to shine!

Strawberry times two means TWICE the good news! Please stay tuned for more details regarding tickets, RV sites, lineup, and general public service announcements for both the Spring and Fall 2025 Festivals.

In the meantime, what do you say?!? Will you plan to be there at the Fall 2025 Strawberry Music Festival? For more information and to let us know your thoughts, reach out to us at info@strawberrymusic.com or (209) 984-8630 M–W, 10:00am–2:00pm.

TICKETS FOR 2025 GO ON SALE IN JANUARY!

Tickets for 2025 will go on sale at 10:00am on Tuesday, January 7th! While this is much later than our usual on-sale date, waiting until January will give us more time to prepare and to initiate volunteer coordination in advance of ticket sales.

Stay tuned for exciting news about next year’s Fall Festival, as well as more information about ticket prices, merchandise, RV site reservations, and lineup announcements.

We are counting down the days, and we hope you are too! 🍓🎵🏕️

The Spring 2025 Strawberry Music Festival will be May 21st–26th at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley, California. For more information, email us at info@strawberrymusic.com or give us a call at (209) 984-8630.

Speaking of which. . . the Strawberry Office will be open soon!

Office hours will return to Monday–Wednesday, 10:00am–2:00pm starting Monday, November 4th.

Our office staff is looking forward to serving this collective effort for goodness sake. We cannot wait to be in touch with you more soon about all things Strawberry!

IN LOVING MEMORY OF STAN STRATTON

It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news that longtime Strawberry volunteer and friend, Stan Stratton, passed away last week.

It has been difficult to find the words for this message and to acknowledge this unexpected loss. Stan was unable to attend this past festival, which was the first one he had missed since his first in 1991, because his camper van broke down and could not carry him to us from his home in Springfield, Oregon. None of us could imagine that there would not be another opportunity to share a Strawberry hug with our dear friend, to delight in the fresh strawberries or the homemade fudge (made using his grandmother’s recipe) that Stan would pass out at our festival staff meetings on Wednesday night, to admire the collection of wristbands he wore proudly affixed to his signature beret, or to hear one of many epic Strawberry stories that—like Stan—bettered with age.

To say that Stan was personally invested in the Strawberry festival family would be an understatement. Besides being a supportive ally year-round to his festival friends, he had endeavored to photo document most, if not all, festival camp banners. These photographs can be found in the Camp Photo Gallery available for all to enjoy on the Strawberry website. His contributions to the Strawberry experience through his work with the Camping Assistance crew, and as a force for good within our music loving community, are too numerous to name and will not be forgotten.

Our deepest condolences go out to Stan’s family and friends, as we hold you all in the sacred space of one loving Strawberry heart. We will imagine Stan’s spirit with our other lost loved ones in that big beautiful festival in the sky where, eventually, we all hope to continue to revel in love, laughter, peace-making, nature, frivolity, and music.

Here’s to you, and the life you lived, dearest Stan!
