We are so pleased to announce that The Ingramettes will be part of The Sherman Holmes Project for what is sure to be a very special performance, on Saturday evening, during the Fall Festival. Almeta Ingram, Carrie Ingram Jackson, and Cheryl Maroney-Yancey make up this incredibly spirited trio of soul singers who were founded and led by the late, legendary gospel vocalist, Maggie Ingram, for over fifty years. The Ingramettes continue to give a beautifully inspiring voice to a rich and reverent tradition in a way that must have many generations of ancestors smiling. So, it’s especially great news that The Ingramettes will also perform at the Sunday morning Revival, as supported by Mike Bubb on bass, John Evers on drums, Jared Pool on guitar, with a guest appearance by Sherman Holmes. The incredible Ingramettes are guaranteed to bring a warm-hearted, wow-factor to our Sunday morning show, in addition to the amazing pairing of talent and blending of genres, with The Sherman Holmes Project, whose set on the Main Stage is also to include instrumental virtuosos, Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley. We can’t wait to see them, and you, at Strawberry Music Festival- Fall 2018!

Thank you everyone who participated in this contest and congratulations to Karen Sturgeon and to Heidi Green, who have each won a pair of camping tickets to the Fall 2018 Strawberry Music Festival. Stay tuned for lots more exciting news about the Fall Fest to come as well as more ticket contest on the way!
We are so thrilled for Grammy-winning roots troubadour, Rodney Crowell, and his talented trio, to return to Strawberry for the Fall 2018 Music Festival, preceding the July 13th release of his new album, “Acoustic Classics.” During his illustrious career, Crowell has written fifteen #1 songs on the Country music charts and has won two Grammys, as well as having earned a nomination for his last album, “Close Ties.” He’s also won six Americana Music Awards, including the 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting and is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Beyond that, Rodney Crowell is one of our all-time favorites, and a wonderful way to close Strawberry’s season of music. See you there on Sunday night!
We’re so pleased to welcome Joe Craven & The Sometimers to this year’s Fall lineup. Northern California’s own jack of all trades, Joe Craven, is an accomplished vocalist, percussionist and master of many strings. He is joined by first rate, roots music devotees Jonathan Stoyanoff (bass), Bruce MacMillan (guitar, dobro, lap steel), and Barry Eldridge (drums) to form The Sometimers, a string-centric, free-range folk trio, with a strong “no genre left behind” policy of music making. Together they have drawn from a long list of illustrious talents to successfully redefine POP music as the “Pursuit of Possibility.” Join us at the Fall 2018 Strawberry Music Festival where Joe Craven & The Sometimes will demonstrate their poetic license to operate heavy machinery, which include a wide array of acoustic and electric instruments and implements. See you there!
Americana singer/songwriter Caitlin Canty weaves the threads of folk, blues, and country tinged ballads, into a richly beautiful sound tapestry. Her third and most recent recording is hailed by Rolling Stone as “dreamy and daring” with “poetic lyrics and haunting melodies.” Produced by Noam Pikelny of the Punch Brothers, “Motel Bouquet” features ten original songs that hold Canty’s darkly radiant voice firmly in the spotlight. Since her second album, “Reckless Skyline,” came out in 2015, she has put thousands of miles on her thoughtfully crafted material, winning numerous awards and accolades along the way. It’s our great pleasure to feature natural born songbird, Caitlin Canty, as the most recent addition to the Fall 2018 Festvial lineup and look forward to her upcoming Strawberry debut!

We really appreciate all the positive feedback we have received about the Spring 2018 Strawberry Music Festival! The two all-important standards by which we measure this past festival a resounding success is both the exponential increase of music being played in camp and the incredibly high ratio of families with young children in attendance. In general, there was just a little more of everything that is good about Strawberry; old friends, new friends, creativity, love, kindness, food, young people playing music, cooperation, games, family-friendly celebration and music being played virtually everywhere. We are deeply grateful to the wonderful staff at the Nevada County Fairgrounds for hosting us, to all who attend, and for all of the many people who have who have participated over the years, making it possible for this gathering to continue into its thirty-seventh year.
Our time together went by very quickly, and the separation is only made bearable by the fact that we’ll be seeing many of you in just 85 days at the Fall Festival. This year, the comfort level at the Fall Festival is taking a giant leap forward with the unveiling of the new Westside Pavilion, which has completely transformed the Music Meadow into a park-like setting. We are very excited to bring you more information about the new pavilion, the history and the future of Westside, all the lineup and programming announcements to come, in the days and weeks to follow.
