Rebel Refugees hail from Davis and Santa Cruz areas. Refugees started coming to Strawberry in the early 80s camping near the tennis courts. Move up to Coyote Meadow in the mid 90s where we set up camp until the last days of Mather. Name comes from a song written by member Sam Levine
