Just picture this, it’s Saturday morning on the Music Meadow and you can hear the Rita Hosking Trio, on the Main Stage. Hosking’s sweet voice and purposeful words easily transport the listener to another time and place. This Northern Californian mountain mama has cultivated a style of song crafting that is educated and authentic. She grew up with a deep regard for folk music and the power of the voice, as a descendent of Cornish miners who sang in the mines. With her latest album, “Frankie and the No-Go Road” Hosking has woven her many strengths into a beautiful tapestry of music. Together with Sean Feder (dobro/banjo) and Bill Dankin (standup bass), the Rita Hosking Trio has a dynamic country-folk sound. We can’t think of a better way to begin the Main Stage on Saturday of the Spring Festival. See you there!
