The Puffball Collective is a Santa Cruz–based groove band delivering high-energy, feel-good performances rooted in funky Americana originals and exploratory jams. Their live shows balance deep rhythms, playful improvisation, and a strong sense of community spirit.
The band features Doug “Dirt” Greenfield (bass, vocals), Fred Rodriguez (guitar, vocals), Marc Sveen (guitar, vocals), Lachlann Kane (keys, vocals), Paul Garcia (drums), and Gary Kehoe (percussion). Together, they also bring spirited takes on music by The Allman Brothers, The Grateful Dead, J.J. Cale, Sly Stone, Billy Preston, The Band, and The Beatles—turning every set into a shared celebration.
