Each print and greeting card is a unique work of art, individually letterpress printed in multiple colors from several hand-cut linoleum blocks. Katherine Case carves the linoleum blocks using a traditional Japanese key-block technique and prints them on an antique SP15 Vandercook letterpress at her studio in Reno, NV. Many prints are also then hand-painted in watercolor.
Meridian Press fine-art prints and greeting cards feature the animals, plants and landscapes of the Sierra Nevada. From the coyote, the quail and the Red Tail Hawk to Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe, Meridian Press work is a celebration of the beauty and abundance of the Sierras. The "Dancing in the Moonlight" print of the Strawberry Music Festival was a big hit last year. New things coming this year are hand-printed tote bags, an expanded selection of handmade books and a new large scale print.
