Austin and Sarah McCombie, husband-and-wife folk duo from North Carolina, capture the days of old (and new) in original compositions on guitar and banjo. Their band name exemplifies their love of history.
The couple owns an old house in Chatham County, where, over a century ago, rabbits were the cash crop. The house was once the home of a mill-working family, and the husband played in the mill-sponsored string band, The Chatham Rabbits.
They aim to pay respect to that original band in the same way they pay respect to days past and present – in song. And as you would expect from life partners, their sound is intimate and on target.
How’s about some Chatham Rabbits? Let’s welcome them to Strawberry!
