This bluegrass and gospel group is comprised of Jerry Cole, Eli Johnston, and Stephen Burwell, all being former members of Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver’s last touring band before he retired. Add mandolin extraordinaire, Jesse Brock and vocal powerhouse, John Meador, and you’ve got a tight-knit crew that is taking the bluegrass world by storm.
In fact, at last year’s International Bluegrass Music Association’s Music Awards, Authentic Unlimited took home Vocal Group of the Year, AND New Artist of the Year.
While their music is plenty to endear and impress, you might notice that on their website, they list each band member’s parents by name. That’s right – the parents get some credit! We love that. And most of all, we love them.
