MARLEY’S GHOST TO RETURN TO SPRING STRAWBERRY

Each of Marley’s members (Dan Wheetman, Jon Wilcox, Mike Phelan, Ed Littlefield Jr., Jerry Fletcher, and Bob Nichols) play lead on too many instruments to list, and the collective Ghost performs a widely eclectic repertoire of roots and Americana genres. Most of them have been making music together for more than three decades, and the band has played a central role in the Strawberry story for just as long. Over the years, what was already a phenomenal pairing of vocals and instrumentation has only grown tighter and richer. Each of Marley’s Ghost twelve recordings released to date is its own unique homage to American culture and our deep connection to the arts, both past, present, and future. Now, fans and friends are anxiously awaiting the upcoming release of their latest LP, titled “Travelin’ Shoes”, on February 8th, 2019. Song premiers from the album, “Shadrack” and title track, “Travelin’ Shoes,” have further demonstrated Marley’s ability to breathe new contemporary life into traditional gospel classics and are performed with the vocal nuance and instrumental precision that is true to form. We’re looking forward to hearing the full collection in two weeks and then to see them perform live on Sunday evening on the Main Stage, as well as at other Strawberry venues throughout the holiday weekend.
