He’s our jump-in-the-lake, pull your heartstrings, pioneering bluegrass crooner. He can wield a guitar, mandolin, fiddle, or banjo like one of those Red Knuckles & The Trailblazers fly swatters in the hands of your Arkansas grandma. And, his iconic voice and songs have become blissfully anthemic for us here at Strawberry.
He’s played (at least) 37 times on our stage since 1984, in various configurations such as: Tim O’Brien Band, Hot Rize, Tim and Mollie O’Brien, Tim O’Brien & the O’Boys, Tim O’Brien Band with Jerry Douglass, Hot Rize feat. Red Knuckles & the Trailblazers, and many more.
On June 16th, he drops his newest record, “Cup of Sugar.” No doubt, this Grammy-winning, hall-of-famer will awe us once again with his brilliant artistry, humanity, a lil’ bit o’ humor, and a top-notch band in support.
