Today, sod was planted on the Music Meadow, just in time for a green Strawberry Stroll, beginning in just 4 short weeks. It was quite a sight to see crews laying and rolling the giant, emerald carpet leading right to the Main Stage! The remaining areas of the Music Meadow that are scheduled to get sod next year, will be covered in wood chips, seeded, and watered for frolicking on, at the Fall Festival. Several weeks ago the home of the Kids Program and the Play Stage got the same treatment of wood chips, grass seed, and water. In short order, grass was emerging and now we have a serene and shady park like setting for storytelling, arts and crafts, children’s and workshop performances, the kids’ parade, the Sunday morning Revival, and much more. The only way to really see what this place is like is to see it in person, because the pictures just don’t do this setting justice. We hope you’ll join us to experience Westside’s many shades of green, for yourself! But beware, fun in the sun, and on the grass, is top on a long list of positive side effects you may experience, with a full dose of Fall Strawberry.
