Curious about the layout at Westside? Longtime festival friend, Steve Kenworthy is busy working on the festival map and we’re hoping to share it here soon.

This year’s home of the Fall Strawberry Music Festival is at Westside in Tuolumne, CA. Set on approximately 175 acres of Sierra foothill, oak woodland, Westside offers vistas of historic Tuolumne rooftops and beyond to Duckwall Mountain and the Tuolumne River canyon. Home of the historic Westside Lumber Company mill yard and mill pond, the Fall 2015 Festival site borders the quiet and charming town of Tuolumne, formerly known as Carter’s. Many folks in the local community have stories to tell about Westside, and we hope to invite you to share in those stories here on the website and at the festival. Just a short walk or bicycle ride into town there is a shady park with green grass, historic Tuolumne Memorial Veteran’s Hall, the swimming pool, baseball diamond, horseshoe pits, and the Tuolumne City Memorial Museum. Due to the drought, Turnback Creek that feeds the Mill Pond is dry, but the pond is lush with vegetation and wildlife, and there are many trails and roads that make it easy to access camping and festival programming. Camping areas at Westside are tree lined open spaces, hillside nooks, and pond side plateaus in varying degrees of shape and size. Hot showers, a permanent restroom building, portable toilets and hand wash stations throughout camp, and access to potable water are all provided. Camping is first come first serve, however if you have a camping ticket, there will be space for you whenever you arrive. The brush crew is working to create more camping amongst the trees, but please be prepared to bring your own shade canopy. While the area is quiet, dotted with rustic relics of days gone by, and boasts of wild, undeveloped beauty; shopping and services are still nearby.
