Our 34th Year of Festivals
With the onset of the 2015 festival season, we are reminded how fortunate we
are to be part of such an amazing community of music lovers. Thanks to a
very special group of people including patrons, staff, contracted services,
concessionaires, artisans, musicians, and venue management we are able to
produce a music festival that celebrates the things we love most; friends,
family, food, art, laughter, and music!
Thanks to all who came and made the Spring 2015 Strawberry Music Festival so amazing! There were a lot of “firsts” at the Spring Festival as well as improvements made from Fall 2014. The weather was as good as it gets, new activities were well attended, there was something for everyone on the Main Stage, and the Strawberry Way was in full force! The Revival taking place at the Forest Amphitheatre, on a grassy hillside enshrouded by tall conifers, was a highlight indeed.
The Nevada County Fairgrounds is an especially beautiful place that is accessible to all ages and abilities and allows us to share Strawberry with new people and in new ways, without changing the best of who we are. Working with the staff at the fairgrounds has been such a great experience and we are very excited to return to this beautiful location for the Spring Festivals in 2016 and 2017. We intend to continue to make improvements and additions to festival programming and your feedback is important to us. If you didn’t get to fill out a survey at the festival, let us know what you think.
The Fall 2015 Festival is scheduled to take place Labor Day Weekend, on September 3rd-7th at the historic Westside property in Tuolumne, CA pending approval by the Board of Supervisors on June 16th. We are excited to be working with the County Planning Department as well as the Tuolumne Economic Development Authority to bring the Fall Festival back to Tuolumne County. Steeped in history and natural beauty, Westside is easy to get to, but is still off the beaten path. The property is a geographic bridge to the quiet and charming town of Tuolumne, with lots of recreation opportunities just a short walk or bicycle ride away. Westside is an unpolished gem offering mountain vistas of the Sierra Nevada from its canyon top perch at the doorway to the Stanislaus National Forest. The folks at TEDA are making daily improvements to festival program and camping areas. This site has amazing potential as an event venue, with future plans to restore the historic Millpond as the centerpiece Westside. Locals remember the Westside Lumber Company and the narrow gauge railway that brought logs to the millpond. Ancient rusty relics of days past dot the landscape, like the burner that towers at pond side. We hope that you will support this first time event and join us at Westside and discover the history of music, railways, mountains and people at the Fall 2015 Festival! Stay tuned for information regarding ticket sales. See you there!
While we continue to update our website with the latest information
available, if you have any questions please call the Strawberry office at
(209) 984-8630. Our staff is eager to share information about the festival.
See you there!

|6/16/2015||We would like to thank the staff at the Nevada County Fairgrounds for working with us to make the Spring 2015 Festival such a great weekend! In particular, we would like to thank and congratulate Sandy Woods, who has just retired as CEO, after a long career of accomplished service with the Nevada County Fairgrounds spanning back to 1995. Just this year Sandy was honored with induction into the Western Fairs Association Hall of Fame and is credited with aiding California’s fairs to endure challenges of the recession. In our short time at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, we have gained an immense amount of respect for Sandy Woods and the entire team there. While she may have retired as CEO, she continues her work with the Nevada County Fairgrounds Foundation and was even one of the friendly faces in the Foundation Station pouring beer and wine to thirsty festival goers at the Spring Festival. Thank you Sandy Woods!|
