Welcome to the 2015 Strawberry Music Festival Season

Our 34th Year of Festivals

With the onset of the 2015 festival season, we are reminded how fortunate we are to be part of such an amazing community of music lovers. Thanks to a very special group of people including patrons, staff, contracted services, concessionaires, artisans, musicians, and venue management we are able to produce a music festival that celebrates the things we love most; friends, family, food, art, laughter, and music! We could not be more grateful for your part in making the Fall 2014 Festival at the Nevada County Fairgrounds a resounding success.

The Spring 2015 Festival will take place at the Nevada County Fairgrounds Thursday, May 21st - Monday, May 25th. Deemed the most beautiful fairgrounds in California, the Nevada County Fairgrounds offers beautifully forested camping, tree lined meadows, permanent bathhouses, level terrain, with lots of indoor and outdoor space for family fun and entertainment, in an easily accessible location. Nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevada foothills, charming gold rush towns Grass Valley and Nevada City are just minutes away with lots of services including lodging options, restaurants, stores, gas stations, and recreation. This year the Spring Festival presents the gold standard in main stage entertainment, intimate side stage performances, top notch children's programming, workshops and activities for all ages, and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Come see why Strawberry is so much more than a music festival!

While we continue to update our website with the latest information available, if you have any questions please call the Strawberry office at (209) 984-8630. Our staff is eager to share information about the festival. See you there!

Announcements

12/11/2014With the announcement of the Spring 2015 Festival at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, many of you are wondering if and when we will return to Camp Mather. At this point, we cannot say if this exodus, from our festival home of over 30 years, is temporary or permanent. While we will not rule out a return to our beloved Mather, no circumstances have been presented that would allow us to do that at this time. Charged with the responsibility of preserving the Strawberry tradition for future generations, we are not in a position to be put off, mislead, or forced to fight. Last year we beat the odds when we were granted the federal disaster relief loan, issued refunds and exchanges for Fall 2013 tickets, and produced the Fall 2014 Festival in Grass Valley, despite the lack of cooperation we received from officials at San Francisco’s Recreation and Parks Department. As we search for our mountain home, we must be able to trust venue management to communicate honestly and work with us instead of against us. Wherever we go and however long it takes, we are committed to providing the finest festival experience possible that is accessible to all ages and abilities. In the meantime, we are making our best effort to get Spring tickets on sale before Christmas and look forward to making a very big lineup announcement soon! Please stay tuned and stay positive!
11/26/2015Great news folks! We could not be happier to announce that the Spring 2015 Festival is taking place at the Nevada County Fairgrounds on Memorial Day weekend- Thursday, May 21st through Sunday, May 24th. We’ve already got some great music in the works and look forward to more exciting announcements regarding lineup and ticket sales beginning before Christmas. The office will be closing at noon today for Thanksgiving and will reopen on Tuesday, December 2nd.

Wishing you and yours a happy and safe holiday,
Strawberry Staff
9/24/2014A resounding THANK YOU goes out to all who attended and participated in the Fall 2014 Strawberry Music Festival! The Strawberry Way was in full force at the Nevada County Fairgrounds, and the spirit of this amazing community could be easily felt. We could not be more grateful to the Fall 2013 ticket holders that waited patiently for us to provide this festival and refunds. Working with the staff at the Nevada County Fairgrounds has been a pleasure, and we are grateful to them and the greater community for such a gracious reception. We intend to do whatever it takes to keep this tradition alive for the next generation of Strawberry Kids; so stay tuned for information regarding the 2015 Festival Season.

Thank you!
