Although there are a few rustic hotel/motel accommodations to be found in neighboring towns, camping is chosen by the vast majority of festival participants and contributes greatly to the feeling of community that makes the Strawberry Music Festival unique.
Camping at Strawberry is made easy by the gentle terrain of Camp Mather. Hot showers and permanent restrooms are a unique feature to Camp Mather which, pared with the excellent facilities, makes camping pleasant and comfortable. If you’ve never been to Camp Mather you will be surprised by its size and beauty. If you are new to Strawberry and have any questions about camping, please call the Strawberry office (209-984-8630), Monday-Friday, 9-5. Camping is first-come, first-serve; however, we sell a limited number of camping tickets so no matter when you arrive there will be a place for you to camp. Staff is available to help you find your camp space or park your motor home should you need assistance. If you would like camping assistance, please ask a staff member with a radio at the festival gate or go to the 24-hour security command post located across from the General Store.
Although there are no hookups, RVs and trailers are welcome. If you have one of these vehicles, the flattest and most accessible area is Wildflower Meadow (aka "RV Meadow"). When you arrive, just follow the signs.
Warm days and cool evenings are the norm so include both shorts and jackets in your packing. Also be sure to throw in your rain gear because weather in the mountains can change rapidly and the festival goes on rain or shine. For more information on what to bring, you can refer to our What to Pack page.
Please be aware that no pets or ground or charcoal fires are allowed. Assistance animals must be pre-approved in advance of the festivals. Please call the festival office for more information.
